Product Manager
  ABOUT THIS JOB
The Product Line Manager (PLM) for Premium Oilfield Services is a key role reporting directly to the President of POFS. The
focus of this position will be to develop and implement product line strategies including introduction of new products into
new or existing geographic markets. The candidate will develop product and services portfolio strategies, then manage the
life cycle of the POFS product offerings including managing the development phase for all new products. The PLM will lead
multiple product development initiatives and partner with executive management to develop product strategy for POFS. This
individual must understand competitor offerings and strategies and develop and maintain competitor capability matrices as
required.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Pursues product development and assists in setting product line strategy.
  • Identifies targets and perform analysis for M&A opportunities
  • Consults with intellectual property legal counsel as required.
  • Manages commercial agreements with external vendors to expedite product development
  • Collects and analyzes competitive market intelligence (customer and competitor)
  • Develops Business Case for new product initiatives and responsible for meeting Business Case targets
  • Provides sales support, upsell strategies, marketing communications and trade show support
  • Monitors the technology development budget and supply chain performance
  • Handles special projects, as assigned

  • Essential Qualifcations / Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Operations; with 8-10 years’ experience in engineering, operations or marketing
  • Advanced hands-on knowledge of Oilfield Services Operations, in particular down hole tools used in drilling, completions and well intervention operations
  • Broad understanding of business plans, customer requirements, and market demands
  • Data management and analytical skills necessary to recognize and solve problems of a high nature
  •  5+ years’ experience with major Oilfield Service firms a plus
  • Previous exposure to new product launches
